Associated Texans Against Crime (ATAC) is a statewide, public-policy
organization that has as its goal reducing crime across Texas.
We are concerned with all aspects of our criminal justice system
but focus primarily on:

juvenile justice reform

parole policies

crime prevention

drug and alcohol programs

victims' rights
We
advocate for tough laws on crime and communicate our ideas about
such to state lawmakers frequently.
Outstanding
Law Enforcement Officer Award
Each year, ATAC presents Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer awards
to individuals, groups and schools that are dedicated to keeping
communities and children safe from crime. Since 1984 we have recognized
more than 100 Texas law enforcement officers for exemplary performance
in the line of duty.
Texas
Anti-Drug Award
ATAC also bestows a Texas Anti-Drug Award each year to schools
with outstanding drug and alcohol prevention programs. We are
committed to rewarding parents, teachers and students for organizing
and participating in proven drug prevention activities.
