Ion
Scanners
The
rapidly expanding epidemic of "cheese" in our schools
is relatively new. Police departments are working overtime to
understand the problem … and to find ways to curb its impact
on our society.
One
tool that can help in the fight against this deadly new form of
heroin is the ion
scanner.
The
Today Foundation supports the use of ion scanners to help officials
identify who is using "cheese" … and then to direct
those addicted to the drug to resources
in the community that can help them overcome their
tie to the drug.
A
simple swipe of a swab over a backpack, an article of clothing
or any other personal item can be analyzed by an ion scanner for
the presence of "cheese". Although such technology,
by itself, cannot rid our society of "cheese", it can
be one valuable tool in our campaign against it.
You
can help us equip police departments with this integral tool to
fight cheese -- or help provide more
beds for those striving to withdraw from "cheese"
addiction -- when you donate
to the Texas Anti-Drug Program.
