Texas
Leadership Forum
Our mission at the Today Foundation is to improve the quality
of life for all Americans, especially our children and young adults.
One way in which we are helping shape young Americans into productive
and respectful citizens is through the Texas Leadership Forum
(TLF). The TLF, and all our high school leadership programs, seek
to foster civic involvement, leadership and character building
in participants while educating them about government and public
policy.
TLF
students will have access during the school year to individuals
and opportunities not available to most high school students.
Participants will meet and interact with business and professional
people, elected officials and community leaders.
In
addition, TLF participants will attend a one-week conference in
Washington, D.C. where they will take part in substantive meetings,
briefings, and presentations. They will attend committee hearings,
sessions of Congress and visit offices on the Hill. The goal is
to provide broad exposure to the inner-workings of government
and life in the nation's capital.
U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions serves as Honorary
Chairman of the Texas Leadership Forum.
We
hope you will show your support for these young leaders by contributing
a designated gift to the Today Foundation. Just
use our donation form.
