Wendy
Jenkins
Wendy
Jenkins joined the Today Foundation in February of 2007.
Her
first assignment is to help build awareness of an emerging new
drug in the Dallas Independent School District. The new drug,
nicknamed "cheese"
on the street, has taken the lives of four children in the Dallas
area.
Recognizing
the need for all partners concerned with the protection of Dallas
school children, the Today Foundation has challenged Wendy to
educate parents, teachers and children about the dangers of this
new form of heroin.
Public
service programs, town hall meetings and print material in both
English and Spanish are just a few of the ongoing efforts Wendy
is developing to inform the public.
